I get a buzz when I see images that have emotion, humour and candour.

A photograph to me, needs to show an element of humanity.

I often say that I simply photograph “people being people”.

I always want my clients to remember their wedding

not remember the time spent with the photographer and it is my passion that my clients receive candid wedding photography

that genuinely tells the story of their wedding.

Northampton Wedding Photography

Hello, welcome to my site, and thank you for stopping by. I hope you find images that draw you in, make you smile, groan and laugh a little.
I am a Documentary Wedding Photographer in the true sense. I will tell the story of your wedding day in pictures, without interfering with or posing you or your guests, so that you can enjoy one of the most important days of your life. I don’t want to control your day, I want to capture it faithfully as it unfolds, candidly, discreetly, almost as if wedding photography hadn’t been invented.
Weddings are a complicated business so with that in mind I aim to make the process of hiring your wedding photographer as simple and transparent as possible, and to achieve this I only offer one package. Wedding photography doesn’t get any simpler than this.

I offer only one package as I want to remove all the confusion from booking your wedding photographer. There is too many options offered these days, that in my opinion, are often only offered to make it unclear exactly what you are getting for your money. Parent albums can be added if required, but again, everything is very clear and there are absolutely no hidden charges.

I am more than happy to shoot your wedding 100% black and white and I even offer a discount as an incentive. A wedding album completely filled with black & white photographs is one of the classiest and consistently beautiful things in photography.

I pride myself on my black & white documentary photography and find that clients have a tendency to choose more black & white than colour pictures for their album. I dress like a guest and I move in close and mingle, while being as unobtrusive as possible. I don’t use massive DSLR’s with great big lenses and I don’t want to draw attention to myself. I look for candid, romantic, emotional or humorous moments and I put them together to tell the story of your day.

My aim is to shoot your wedding in a candid way, capturing real moments and a true vision of how your wedding day really was. I don’t want to get in the way, and I definitely don’t want to direct or ask anyone to repeat anything. I do realise however, that some group shots can be desirable and usually I do up to 5 group shots of the key wedding party guests if you require them.

Of course, even though I’m a documentary photographer,

this doesn’t mean that I won’t capture those key details such as table decorations

and I’ll happily shoot a small amount of formal shots too (if you wish to have them).
